The first international conference in Georgia – “Dentistry in a Multidisciplinary Perspective.”

On December 13, at the Sheraton Hotel, the first international conference in Georgia — “Dentistry in a Multidisciplinary Perspective” — was held, organized by the Georgian Association for Sports Dentistry (GA4SD) with the support of Blits Dental – Kahaber Kharebava Clinic.

The event brought together leading, internationally recognized specialists from around the world:

• Dr. Stavros Avgerinos

• Dr. Inessa Baradina

• Dr. Manuel Jimenez

• Dr. Deborah Heller

During the conference, participants had the opportunity to explore modern, innovative, and research-based approaches across various fields of dentistry.

The primary goal of the conference was to share knowledge in the areas of gnathology and orthopedic rehabilitation. Key topics discussed included dentistry from a multidisciplinary perspective, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, occlusion and orthopedic rehabilitation, the relationship between oral restorations and the musculoskeletal system, as well as the use of salivary biomarkers in sports and everyday dental practice.

The project was led by GA4SD President Davit Davitashvili, while the initiative’s authors and founders are Nikoloz Kharebava and Vache Biniashvili.
